I have been a runner for more than a decade and a coach for a few, not professionally, but as a passion. For most of those years, I have been a mid-pack runner, but every once in awhile training comes together, stars align, and I place as an age-grouper. But I would keep running even if I never saw a medal.
And, yes, I'm a girl. But don't let that fool you into thinking I'm a sissy. I love pedicures, but I also take pride in my blistered feet and black toenails. (Those are a special badge of honor earned over many miles.)
We're all runners (boys and girls alike). We speak a common language. We share inside jokes. We have the same urge to run. I look forward to sharing the road (and trails) with you.
Happy running!
